iBGStar® wins Red Dot design award 2011

iBGStar has received the Red Dot design award 2011 for outstanding product design in the category “life science and medicine”. The independent Red Dot design award is one of the most renowned international product design recognitions.

“We are very proud that one of the first blood glucose meters in our portfolio, the iBGStar, has already won great appreciation for its innovative design. This demonstrates our deep understanding of the needs of people with diabetes and their lifestyle and our ultimate goal of helping people with diabetes manage their disease effectively”, said Pierre Chancel, Senior Vice President, Global Diabetes Division, Sanofi.

The iBGStar now joins other award-winning devices developed by Sanofi Diabetes such as the ClikSTAR® and SoloSTAR® insulin pens, which received the GOOD DESIGN™ Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, in 2009 and 2007 respectively.
