Important information regarding the iBGStar® Diabetes Manager Application - version 2.0

On the 21st of May, Sanofi released the new, more stable version of the iBGStar® Diabetes Manager Application – the DMA v. 2.0. Since then, a very limited number of users reported issues regarding the data conversion when upgrading from DMA v. 1.0 to DMA v.2.0. We advise users to continue upgrading and using the DMA v. 2.0. As a precaution to data keeping, users should create an i-device backup (with DMA v.1.0) in iTunes prior to upgrading, then execute the upgrade and continue using the iBGStar® DMA v. 2.0. Users who encountered issues when upgrading, and were able to recover DMA v. 1.0 from backup, should continue using the DMA v. 1.0 until further notice.
The performance of the iBGStar® DMA does not affect the iBGStar® blood glucose meter. iBGStar® always contains the latest 300 blood glucose readings.
We are thoroughly investigating the feedback on the iBGStar® DMA v. 2.0 and will inform you on new developments. We also advise all users to contact customer centres in case of any questions or issues.

Launch of the new iBGStar® Diabetes Manager Application - version 2.0

Sanofi Diabetes is pleased to announce the launch of an updated version of the iBGStar® Diabetes Manager Application. The new DMA version 2.0 is designed to improve diabetes management through the incorporation of several new features such as a compatibility message, time zone as well as battery error messages and scorecard conversions.

If you have a BGStar® meter, you will also be able to use the updated DMA 2.0 via cable that connects your iPhone or iPod touch to your BGStar®. The cable will be available in the coming months. DMA 2.0 requires iOS 4 (operating system) or higher, and will be available on the App Store as of May 21st, 2012.

The new DMA version 2.0 will be available for download in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Canada. All additional information on the Application will be available on the local websites or via Sanofi’s local Customer Support centers.
